Servette FC have reportedly placed Dylan Bronn on the transfer market, according to AfricaFoot. At 31, the Tunisian international defender of the Carthage Eagles is looking for regular playing time ahead of the international fixtures.
Dylan Bronn could be on the move as early as the January transfer window. According to AfricaFoot, the Tunisian international defender has been placed on the transfer market by the Servette FC management, who want to trim their wage bill and reorganise their defence.
A former Metz and Gent player, the 31-year-old centre-back now plays for Servette FC, the Geneva club in the Swiss Super League.
A centre-back short on playing time
With more than 40 caps and two World Cup appearances, in 2018 and 2022, Dylan Bronn is one of the pillars of the Tunisia national team. At 31, he is enduring a pivotal season, ahead of major international qualifying fixtures.
In recent rounds of the Swiss league, he has been used intermittently and has lost his status as an undisputed starter. According to AfricaFoot, he is looking to regain regular playing time to keep his place in the Carthage Eagles squad.
Loan or permanent departure
Also according to AfricaFoot, Servette FC would favour a permanent departure or a loan with an obligation to buy, six months before several contractual deadlines. The Geneva club are thus looking to trim their squad as early as the January transfer window.
Options in the Gulf, in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, as well as in the Turkish Süper Lig, have been passed on to the player’s entourage. No destination has been finalised at this stage, however, and a mutual termination remains possible.
A swift outcome is expected between the player’s advisers and the Servette board, to agree on a mutual termination or a transfer.
November, the priority deadline
Tunisia have set their major November gathering, which will be marked by a match against Libya, according to the Tunisian Football Federation (FTF). With that in mind, Dylan Bronn’s status is considered a priority by the Carthage Eagles’ technical staff.
For the player, the challenge is to win back a starting place in order to stay in the Tunisia squad. Servette FC, for their part, must play a Swiss Super League match this weekend, before the November international break.
